This early 20th century beauty features an oval center surrounded by two stylized wings and topped with a crown shaped bale, all covered in rose cut, cabochon and flat cut garnets. The gems are set with prongs, pave and besel settings and full of wonderful red fire. The pendant itself is constructed in gilded or gold washed silver. It's articulated so that the pendant moves under the crown bale, and the drop dangles beneath the pendant. Quite possibly it started it's life as something else then a pendant, maybe an earring.
Hight 6.5 cm including bale, 3.5 cm wide.
In very good antique condition, the garnets shows very little wear and all seems to be original to the piece and secure in their setting. Minor repairs to the back, nothing that is visible when the piece is worn.
A gorgeous winged and crowned pendant, perfect for anyone who loves garnets.
