A stylish and timeless French set of gorgeously chased jewellery, resting in its original silke lined leather box. Made in 18 carat gold, the set is made up by a cuff, a pair of earrings and a pendant that doubles as brooch. All the pieces are meticulously hand engraved with a swirling pattern and topped by a contrasting fleur-de-lis application.
The earrings are articulated, but sturdy without being heavy. Beauitful movement when worn. The bale on the pendant can be folded back, or removed, for when you want to use it as a brooch. The wholse set it well balanced, sturdy without being heavy and so well made. An absolute pleasure to wear and to look at!
The orginal box is made from brown toiled leather, lined with purple silk and silk velvet.
In excellent antique condition, with only minimal wear. A few minor dents to the backside of the bangle, but nothing that will be much noticed when the piece is worn. Clasp in excellent condition and with safety chain still in place. Made circa 1880. This set comes with a receit from an antique shop in Denmark, where it was previously purchased.
Earrings 55 mm x 16 mm. Cuff 60 x 49 mm, 23 mm wide, the fcenter shield measures about 2.2×2.7 cm. Pendant 55 x 32mm with bale. Brooch 38 x 32 mm. Total weight of the jewellery is 47 g.
