Wonderful silver chain alternating sections of links decorated with stripes of niello enamel and links gilt with rose gold. It measures 42,2 cm long counting the bolt ring and dog clip at the ends. The dog clip, which is also decorated with niello stripes, measures 2,5 cm long. The rose gold gilded bolt ring is 1 cm in diameter. The links are 4 mm wide.
Weight 23 grams. Hallmarked for silver and Austro-Hungaria 1872-1922. In excellent antique condition, with minor surface wear in keeping with age and use. You need to check that the bolt ring closes shut, but once it is it stays safely shut.
