Delightful and deliciously golden - this trefoil pendant/brooch is modelled in 14 carat gold and set with wonderful pearls and bright rose cut diamonds. Made at the end the 19th century it has been re-worked in the early 1900s, when the brooch fitting either was added or altered. They have added two openings in the gold grid under the trefoil, where you can rest the brooch bar. It is quite possible to wear the trefoil set onto the pin in different angles, which is a great feature.
The largest, pale golden, pearl measures about 10 mm long, the other two slightly deeper coloured pearls are a little smaller. The largest rose cut is about 3 mm in diameter. Total weight when brooch fitting is mounted is 7,3 grams and lenght 43 mm. As pendant the trefoil measures about 31 mm high.
In excellent condition, minor surface wear in keeping with the age. Visible traces of the work done to the back and side grids when the piece was altered. None of it very noticeable when the piece is worn.
Luxorious with its lustrous golden pearls perfectly matched to the gold and the bright and sparkly rose cuts - and just as gorgeous worn as a brooch on your jacket as it is on a chain around your neck.
