These French emerald green and clear paste earrings are so stunning and quite eye-catching. In crimped collet settings; the white pastes in silver are bright and sparkly and the green that are set in gold are so vibrant. The foils behind the stones are in great condition, enhancing the glow and the glittering as the earrings move. Only a couple of foils shows a bit of age, you can see a slightly darker shade to a couple of the white pastes, but this is barely noticeable.The pastes are in general very good condition for their age, a few minor scratches and nibbles as can be expected.
And talking about age - these wonderful halo earrings are made from old components, with new 18 carat gold wires. The paste components are from the second half of the 19th century, and of French origin. The back of the green pastes have faint makers mark.
The final result looks very much like a pair of Victorian era emerald and diamond earrings. Intense green glow, and a lot of sparkle.
