Timeless bracelet from 1889, with a design that looks almost modern. Modelled in rich 18 carat gold, the curved and slightly rhombus shaped center is decorated with three pearl set stars. From the plaque two rows of belcher links on each side reaches back to an engraved box clasp. The theme reminds me of the asterism "Orion's belt', also called the Three Kings or Three Sisters. The three stars can symbolise many things, as they say - all good things come in three.
The rounded shape of the plaque makes for a wrist hugging and comfortable fit.
Hallmarked for Stockholm, Sweden, 1889 and with makers mark for Axel Georg Björkman.
Lenghts 16,5 cm, weight 9,4 grams. In very good condition, one star seems to have been re-attached, you can see faint marks from where it used to move before the repair. One pearl has been replaced.Clasp in excellent condition, with safety loop.
